The Right to Education Project (RTE), housed at ActionAid International in London, is a collaborative initiative between ActionAid International, Amnesty International, Global Campaign for Education and Save the Children. RTE promotes mobilisation and accountability on the right to education, seeking to build bridges across human rights, education and development disciplines. RTE conducts research, builds capacity, develops resources for advocacy, and collaborates with a wide network of human rights, development and education practitioners.
RTE seeks a volunteer to assist in the implementation of projects and initiatives. The volunteer should have a solid understanding of international human rights law, including economic and social rights with a commitment to the right to education. The volunteer will support human rights legal research and assist in the maintenance of RTE’s legal databases.
The volunteer will also contribute to the content of the RTE website (www.right-to-education.org) and should possess excellent English writing skills and be comfortable uploading content onto a web content management system. The volunteer may also support in the organisation of RTE events and activities and should have good organisational and administrative skills
The volunteer will work in a small team based in ActionAid’s London office.
