Job Summary

Cardno ENTRIX is seeking a Senior Wetlands Permitting Specialist to help lead our natural resources permitting efforts in the Houston area. The successful candidate will work with a national team of experts to lead and expand our Natural Resources Group in the Texas marketplace.​

Key Responsibilities

​Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Business development
  • Manage projects and people
  • Mentor and coach junior staff
  • Own and develop a successful wetland/natural resources program
  • Work closely with different personalities and strengths while providing clear direction and focus for the team
  • Wetland delineations as well as individual 404 and nationwide permitting  Management of cultural resources activities and biological components of projects

Other Requirements

​Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field
  • Ten plus years’ experience, including wetland delineation and individual 404 and nationwide permitting experience
  • At least 5 years experience in business development and project management role
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint  Must be a proficient manager of projects as well as a proficient written and oral communicator
  • Must be familiar with all USACE (United States Army Corps of Engineers) rules and regulations surrounding the 404 permitting process
  • Able to travel to other Cardno ENTRIX offices within the U.S.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Masters degree or higher in environmental science or related field
  • 12-15 years' experience preferred
  • Positive, flexible, team-oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Positive and energetic attitude
  • Self motivated; strong initiative
  • Detail oriented; resourceful
  • Bilingual capabilities (Spanish) a plus
