We are seeking a dynamic, inspiring and motivating Executive Director who can deliver Article 19’s vision through strong strategic direction in an organisation fighting for freedom of expression around the world.

Candidates must have excellent leadership and communication skills and an ability to work and influence globally at all levels including the highest levels of government with confidence, passion and authority. A record of successful operational, financial and people management skills and an understanding of good governance in a complex organisation are essential.

This is a demanding position often working in politically unstable environments and candidates must show a level of sound judgement, resilience and resourcefulness to succeed.

Fluency in written and spoken English plus working knowledge of at least one other language is required.
