KUGEL LEGAL is a Brussels based boutique law firm delivering legal services to essentially all segments of the chemical industry and beyond.

The firm’s practice focuses on EU Chemical Law and related Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Risk Regulation issues in the broad sense. We assist a variety of companies and industry associations on a myriad of matters related to market access conditions and regulatory compliance. We also represent our clients in European or national administrative, regulatory and enforcement procedures, contractual data access/sharing negotiations, legislative advocacy strategies, task force formation and management, judicial review, dispute settlement proceedings etc.

In the context of our broader EU Law & Litigation practice we also count domestic and overseas law firms, industry associations and public institutions among our clients.

KUGEL LEGAL is looking to recruit a junior/mid level lawyer to support the Biocides, Agrochemicals and REACH practice.

Profile:

  • University degree in EU law;
  • Strong command of English and at least one other European language (preferably German, Dutch, French or Spanish);
  • High attention to detail. Accurate;
  • Committed to provide the highest professional quality;
  • Hands-on approach. Proactive;
  • Excellent written communication, analytical and organizational skills;
  • Curious, fast learning and able to think ahead;
  • Smart and efficient research capacities;
  • Litigation experience is a pre.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft legal advise and other documents in client related matters;
  • Assist with literature and case law research and keeping up with regulatory developments;
  • Draft or review articles, presentations, alerts, newsletters;
  • Contribute to the organisation of events initiated by the firm;
Candidates with proven knowledge of EU biocides legislation will be given priority.
