consultant to undertake a study to support Save the Children Solomon Islands



CONSULTANCY: Research Study for the Project “Taking Action against Child Trafficking (CT) and Commercial and Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) in Solomon Islands” We are looking for a consultant to undertake a study to support Save the Children Solomon Islands to deliver its ‘Taking Action against Child Trafficking (CT) and Commercial and Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC)’ Project (Project). The goal of the Project is that the Solomon Islands Government takes effective action against Child Trafficking and Commercial and Sexual Exploitation of Children. This work will include: • Research on trafficking and exploitation of children in Solomon Islands as defined in the Terms of Reference • Development and dissemination of the research Report • Capacity assessment and development of training and awareness raising on CT and CSEC
The consultant will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in children’s right, research and strategic development. Plus, prior experience in conducting research studies and leading research teams; proven skills in developing training and materials. We are also looking for sound knowledge on the situation in the Solomon Islands and the Pacific region.
Based in Honiara, with travel to the provinces, the research will begin in May and final submission of the report will be in August 2013.
