The Pilsen 2015 public benefit organisation, founded with the goal of implementing the European Capital of Culture 2015 project, is looking
for a new director of the organisation (full-time work contract).

Job description:

• Management of the European Capital of Culture 2015 project as a non-profit organisation
• Development and coordination of the programme and crucial projects of the PilsenECoC 2015 project in cooperation with the Artistic Team, with special emphasis on the opening ceremony and the significance of participating projects
• Cooperation with various cultural institutions and education organisations and ensuring the functionality of crucial partnerships
• Representation of Pilsen 2015 with public administration authorities, the public, the media, and among the circles of partners and sponsors
• Coordination of providing information to interested parties, institutions and groups
• Mobilising the cultural and economic potential of the City of Pilsen and the Pilsen Region
• Contacting and acquiring main sponsors for the project

Requirements:

• A person of good character who is qualified to carry out legal operations
• University education
• At least three years’ experience (in the Czech Republic or in Europe) in a managerial position, experience with working in the private and public sector is preferred
• Knowledge of written and spoken English
• Knowledge of the issues involved in managing a non-profit organisation and the corresponding economic and legal norms
• B-type Driving licence is preferred

Profile
A team player, an experienced manager. Extensive knowledge and experience in the area of management in an international context, with experience in the private and public sectors. Excellent communication skills in terms of empathy, a diplomatic approach and negotiation skills, namely in presenting and defending the project with a focus on communication with various individuals such as artists, producers, sponsors, project managers and journalists.
Experience in the area of fundraising and management of sponsor relations.

•  Stated vision for the ECoC 2015 project for the period up to and including the year 2015 (a maximum of 5 written, A4-format pages).
