Field Finance Officers
(Three positions)
Based in The Hague, Netherlands
We are now looking for three Field Finance Officers who will play an important role in safeguarding the profitability of our programmes and projects. You will support our Managing Directors in making strategic decisions by reviewing and advising on the financial performance of projects and countries, and by analysing trends and performance. You will be working within a cluster of countries and will supervise the functioning of the administrative hub within the cluster. You will also work closely with Finance colleagues globally, the Business Development team and the Regional Coordinators. The Field Finance Officer reports directly to the Head of Finance/Corporate Controller.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Monitor and analyse compliance with the full cost recovery process for project budgets and report on the completeness and accuracy to the Head of Finance and the Managing Board;
  • Analyse and interpret project and country trends and financial performance against planning, ensuring progress to financial sustainability;
  • Support Country Finance Officers with advice on planning, deal support and donor conditions;
  • Establish Business Finance guidelines and develop improved country planning, reporting and analysis processes;
  • Monitor and follow up on the completeness and accuracy of  time writing in the cluster to ensure compliance with donor requirements and reliable steering information for management;
  • Monitor and quality assure internal control compliance;
  • Support the Corporate Planning & Reporting staff in the Integrated Planning and Control cycle (IPC) activities where needed;
  • Coordinate and lead projects where requested within the set time, quality and budget.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Academic degree in Finance or Business Administration;
  • Solid experience in project budgeting and finance analysis;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Energetic and a flexible team player;
  • Apt at problem solving, commercially driven and a strong planner and organizer;
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
  • Must be able to travel.
CONTRACT INFORMATION
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Length of contract/placement: 2 years initially
