Information Officer - Emergencies and Crises Team

SALARY: £32,292 - £34,570

ActionAid International is seeking a motivated person to join its Emergencies and Crises Team (IECT) and be part of the global ActionAid family helping to build a fair and just world where everyone can claim their rights.
As Information Officer in the IECT you will build the profile of our emergencies and conflict work internally, develop information systems that will deliver relevant data quickly during emergencies and on long-term emergency response as well as strengthen information flow at these times. You will also collate and update materials as well as maintain online assets. As a focal point for information you will support marketing, fundraising and communication activities and contribute to the building of ActionAid’s emergencies profile as a credible humanitarian actor.
Of graduate calibre you will have a sound understanding of current humanitarian trends and issues as well as experience of developing information systems around humanitarian policy and programming. An excellent communicator you will demonstrate the ability to influence a range of audiences internally and externally as well as think strategically. With a flexible attitude, you will have experience of using content management systems, good copywriting and PC skills and the ability to prioritise multiple projects.
