ActionAid Nigeria has worked on conflict & other emergencies over the last 8 years, with focus on supporting communities to put in place measures that enhance Disaster Risk Reduction, Peace Building and carry out Conflict Analysis, training and activities that ensure Human Security. This work has been done in more than 20 of the Nigeria’s 36 states. Additionally, ActionAid Nigeria has supported networks in taking advocacy issues forward (e.g. presenting policy recommendations) with the Federal and state Governments.

ActionAid Nigeria (AAN) is looking for an academic professional within tax justice and campaign. ActionAid Nigeria has prioritised its work on tax justice works, and has already concluded a study on tax and inequality within Nigeria. In collaboration with other civil society partners who have a strong interest in tax justice and inequality, AAN has formed a Nigeria Tax Justice and Governance Network in 2012. The Tax Justice Advisor is going to play a key role in supporting AAN and the Network members to enhance their knowledge on tax policies and practice, as well as strengthen their advocacy efforts at national and regional levels within this area.

The Senior Finance Coordinator will provide strategic financial oversight and support primarily to the Head of Europe. This role is responsible for monitoring financial management and performance of countries in the Group, ensuring compliance with global standards, systems and processes, encouraging adoption of best practices, and strengthening the financial capacity, engagement and mutual accountability of Finance teams in the Group.

The role will further provide strategic financial support to the designated Directorate in strategic planning, reporting, analysis and risk management, with a focus on finance implications of fundraising models.
