Manager - Policy & Markets

Location: London SE1
Reports to: Associate Director, Policy & Markets
Main responsibilities
  • Leading the problem solving effort on client projects
  • Managing analysis and research work
  • Managing the preparation and editing of reports and
    other deliverables
  • Managing relationships with sub-contractors and
    associates
  • Liaising with client contacts on day to day project
    business
  • Managing project teams and junior colleagues
  • Writing winning proposals for key clients/donors

  • Ability to manage junior colleagues effectively

Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for a dynamic and energetic team player with:
  • Significant relevant experience at a strategic management consultancy (or equivalent project management and problem solving experience)
  • Degree educated (at least 2:1 or equivalent) in a numerate discipline
  • Previous line-management experience
  • Experience of energy efficiency, energy or climate policy, or low carbon technologies would be advantageous, as would direct business experience
  • International work experience desirable (ideally in the major emerging economies)
  • Proficiency in foreign languages desirable
  • Experience of business development desirable

Additional information
  • This role is likely to involve long-haul international travel so applicants should be willing to make a number of trips abroad a year
  • The successful candidate must have unrestricted right to work in the UK,
    outstanding written and spoken English, and excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
