PR Manager Apple | France

Apple is looking for a bright, highly motivated PR Manager to join the European PR team based in Paris reporting to the Head of PR for France.

This is a media relations role and you will be expected to be hands on, working day-to-day to engage with local journalists explaining our products and services and bringing them to life through articles that showcase their benefits to best effect.

This position will play a vital role in developing and implementing campaigns locally that build awareness and maintain momentum for our products and services. This position will partner closely with the European teams to identify and showcase best-in-class content.

The successful candidate will be driven and inherently curious, always eager to find a better way to do things and take things to the next level. They will work well under demanding timelines and have a keen eye for detail, able to finish projects to the highest level.

Responsibilities 

• Use your first-class knowledge of the media landscape in France to broaden and deepen our contacts there in particular with consumer lifestyle and broadcast outlets. 
• Have your finger on the pulse of any changes in the media landscape. Be the first to know about new publications, blogs, programmes or journalists taking up new posts. Spot the opportunities that arise from these changes and recommend how we can capitalise on them to maximise coverage.
• Possess expert knowledge of competitive products and keep the European team up to date on what's going on in your market. 
• Ensure our regular media are kept up to speed on the latest Apple news. 
• Oversee day to day press enquiries for respective products. 
• Identify in-store events that have a strong content angle and use these to showcase our products to a wider audience.
• Play an instrumental role in influencing how launch and momentum campaigns are developed to ensure maximum coverage in France. 
• Drive the product seeding programme for momentum campaigns and content reviews. Identify new opportunities and handhold media to ensure a seamless experience. 
• Support the PR Manager, France and European PR team on activity where requested.
• Track coverage for your areas and share news with the wider European team as and when relevant.

Education

Key Relationships:

• Journalists Head of PR for France European PR Managers iTunes and App Store team for France

Qualifications: 

• Fluent in English and French. 
• University educated. 
• Several years experience in PR functions, preferably in the consumer industry. This might include roles in PR agencies, corporate PR departments or as a journalist. 
• Experience of working for a global US organisation is preferable. 
• Requires strong oral and written communication skills.
