Project Engineer
Location: Denver, Colorado and Salt Lake City, Utah
This position requires an individual who will contribute to the CLC engineering team through the design and preparation of a variety of construction documents including site plans and preliminary and final design development for a broad diversity of project types. This individual must work well with multi-discipline teams across all of the CLC offices.
Principle Responsibilities Include:
Design: Excellent site plan and design skills as a licensed professional, preparing and coordinating with other project staff in various design elements for commercial and residential projects.
Communication: Must be well versed in team communication skills with substantial experience interacting with municipalities and clients.
Technical Capacity: Must be well versed in AutoCAD Civil3D to generate plans, sections, and details for engineering projects. Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets used in engineering design and reports.
Writing: Proven written skills for submittal packages, correspondence and report writing.
Drafting: Capable of producing well thought out and executed conceptual plans and construction documents for land development projects.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, licensed in Colorado, with 5 years’ experience working at an Engineering firm that focuses on land development projects
• Proven technical skills through approved and constructed engineering projects
• Ability to generate supporting calculations using engineering formulas and skills
• Thorough understanding of the construction document preparation process
• Ability to undertake due diligence research and summaries, schematic design, code research, construction plans, standards and details
• Positive, energetic, can-do, professional and responsible attitude
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentations of work product to small groups or jurisdictions
