Senior Economist MC-0110-2d $125,000 - $165,000
As a Senior Economist, you will work closely with the Managing Director in formulating short- and long-range strategic goals for the EA Division and help define these goals for the Department and Agency as a whole. You will:
  • Participate and oversee the development, dissemination, revision and archiving of economic analysis (e.g., cost-benefit analyses, beneficiary analyses, etc.) to assess the impact of MCC Compact programs.
  • Participate in the formulation, dissemination, revision and archiving of MCC policies and guidance for the design and implementation of economic analysis in the Agency (e.g., constraints analysis).
  • Formulate and develop recommendations on a variety of issues relevant to the Agency, some of which are controversial and politically sensitive.
  • Anticipate potential problems, assesses their impact and the reaction of MCC stakeholders.
Ideal candidates must have one year of experience  performing the following:Development, dissemination, revision and archiving of economic analysis (e.g., cost-benefit analyses, beneficiary analyses, etc.); experience applying complex economic principles, theories, concepts, methods, and techniques to issues of economic development with important economic policy implications; experience managing programs or projects that involve working in developing countries on developing country issues and providing sophisticated and authoritative economic guidance and analysis; and experience representing an organization in internal and external forums
