DeAnne Julius Research Fellow

The DeAnne Julius Fellowship offers early-career economic researchers with an interest in policy-oriented research the opportunity to work for one year with the Chatham House International Economics team. The Julius Fellowship honours the institute's former chairman, Dame DeAnne Julius. 
Applications are invited from researchers who have recently completed their PhD in international economics, international political economy or related subjects (or who have equivalent research experience).

How to apply:

Candidates must submit the following:
  • Completed application form
  • CV (maximum two sides)
  • Fellowship research project proposal (maximum 1,000 words) 
  • Two writing samples in English, including preferably one published sample
The research proposal should outline the topic to be investigated and, the likely methodology, and must explain the project’s importance and policy relevance. It should also describe any necessary fieldwork and provide a timeline of activities, to indicate how the proposed work would be completed during the Fellowship.

Two letters of reference, at least one being academic, should be sent directly to Chatham House by referees before the application deadline.
