Geologist / Petrophysicist - Exploration Team

Our Client - Growing Operator based in Oman looking to take an aggressive growth strategy.

Job Description –

• Provide log analysis and petrophysical evaluation support on all exploration, appraisal and exploration wells.
• Provide regional geological interpretations, including net sand maps, speculative reserve assessments, fault plane maps, etc.
• Monitor and supervise geological service company studies or surveys, as directed by the Geology and Geophysics Director.
• Effective and timely internal communication with Sr.  Management and appropriate Departments (Exploration, Subsurface, Drilling, Logistics, Special Projects, etc.).
• Complete of all exploration well proposals and recommendations for exploration studies.
• Collaboration and formation evaluation support for all geological operations, as directed by the Geology and Geophysics Director.
  

Candidate Requirements -

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 6 years relevant industry experience.
• Relevant Work Experience: Development geologist with an E&P in the appraisal and development of a field(s).  Log analyst with an E&P Company or Service Company.
• IT Skills & Expertise Requirements:  High level of IT skills and expertise, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Composite well log software and data management software.  Knowledge and expertise in 3D geological modeling and log analysis software is essential. Knowledge and expertise in geological workstation software (Petrel, Landmark, etc.) is also essential.
• Middle East or North Africa E&P Experience is essential.  
• Language Skills Requirements:  Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Degree(s): BSc in Geology. MSc preferred.
