Java Developer at Georgia Tech Research Institute
Travel Required: 25% Travel, CONUS
This position is responsible for design, coding and testing of secure web application software. Candidates must enjoy working with open source software and cutting edge technologies. Candidates will contribute to sponsored research projects and have an opportunity to interact with other scientists and engineers. Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering or related area with willingness to pursue advanced degree
Experience: Experience in Linux configuration and administration. Experience with networking and configuration management will be required. Component level hardware expertise a plus.
Skills: Cross-browser UI design experience, Java Web frameworks (Java 6), Struts, EXT, J2EE (Java Servlets and JSPs), Web Services - SOAP, XML, (X)HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, YUI, Ext, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, Eclipse/IntelliJ, Subversion, JDBC (SQL) with Oracle database. Technical diagnostic expertise including problem investigation, reproduction, and resolution skills. Ability to acquire new skills efficiently. Thrives in collaborative environment
Other: Candidate must be a US citizen capable of holding a Top Secret DoD Security clearance, active clearance a major plus.
