SSEOMS - SOFTWARE QA ANALYST
Bloomberg is seeking a senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst to perform Functional and Regression Testing for our Sell-Side Trading Solution suite of applications known as SSEOMS (Sell-Side Execution & Order Management Solutions).
The Product:
Bloomberg Sell-Side Execution & Order Management Solutions (SSEOMS) deliver global Order & Execution Management Solutions for Front-End Sales and Trading, and Middle & Back Office operations. SSEOMS offers an integrated suite of solutions including: Idea Generation, Liquidity Management, and Electronic Order Flow; Market Execution, Positions and P&L, and Risk Management; Compliance and Middle & Back Office operations.
The Role:
The successful candidate must have working knowledge of both Equity and Options Markets, have at least 3 years of previous QA experience and possess a strong understanding of QA methodology. Working experience with financial markets is required. We are looking for someone energetic, creative, and flexible with strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple builds and frequent releases. Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing software requirements, executing tests against new system enhancements and creating manual and automated regression test scripts that are run weekly.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, Economics or Finance
-At least 3 years previous Software Testing experience
-An understanding of Equity and Options Markets
-Ability to apply software test techniques to software that changes in a rapid code cycle.
-Experience with Order Management Systems or Electronic Trading Applications
-Knowledge of FIX Protocol
-Excellent Communication Skills
-Experience with Bloomberg preferred
-Experience with Automation Tools for Regression Testing
-Experience building Automated Test Scripts is a Plus
