The role
We are currently seeking a talented Electrical Engineering professional to work closely with our specialist design team in the Energy Group and to help develop our national capabilities.
With a minimum of 15 years commercial experience in the electricity industry as a design manager, you will play a key role in:
- Technical delivery, project management, business development and team management across Energy Infrastructure projects throughout Australia
- Providing high level technical support to deliver, plan and design a diverse range of Energy infrastructure projects, and
- Leading and contributing to bid preparation and providing technical input across all disciplines.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Tertiary qualification / Engineering degree, leading to membership of IE Australia or equivalent
- Certified Professional Engineer and / or Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland or equivalent
- 15+ years' of industry experience in the Electricity/Energy Industry
- Demonstrated business planning, budgeting, commercial acumen.
- Proven project management skills across multiple, simultaneous projects;
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills;
- High level consulting and client management skills;
- Ability to write effectively in English to prepare business development materials including proposals;
- Strong report writing skills to prepare and furnish reports;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
