ADF Executive Director


Formed in 2012, the Agricultural Development Fund of Afghanistan (ADF) is a government owned development fund under the tutelage of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, of which the main objective is to provide finance to the agricultural sector.  Originally capitalized by a donor, it is operated as a stand-alone entity and is governed by a board of directors.  Over the past two years, a contractor hired and paid for by the donor has established the operating structure of the ADF and provided key management.  Over the next two years, full responsibility for the management of the ADF will be transferred to Afghan executives.  The Executive Director is slated to assume the Chief Executive position by the end of 2014.
Requirements:
  • Significant senior level banking experience
  • Educational background in finance or business administration
  • Experience in agricultural lending, highly desirable
  • Strategic thinker with solid human relations skills
  • Knowledge of Afghanistan and proficiency in Dari or Pashto are an advantage
