Job Summary

​Cardno Emerging Markets, Belgium s.a. is currently seeking a full-time Business Analyst located in our Brussels office. Our practice unit manages EU-funded projects in various sectors, including trade and economic development, private sector development and institutional capacity building.

Key Responsibilities

​The Business Analyst will be involved in both business development and project coordination. Specific responsibilities for this position include:
  • Business development: conduct research on EU opportunities; identify potential consortium partners; edit project qualifications for specific tenders; conduct research to support the preparation of technical proposals; edit proposals including experts CVs.
  • Project coordination: assist project managers with backstopping support as required, e.g. edit project progress reports; help with invoice preparation; assist with project administration filing.

Other Requirements

​To be successful in your application, you will be expected to demonstrate the following:
  • Relevant Master’s degree
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience 
  • General knowledge of EU development assistance programmes
  • Previous working experience in the private sector preferred
  • Previous experience in providing support to the management of EU-funded projects is an asset 
  • Excellent oral, presentation and report writing skills
  • Ability to think logically and proven skills in problem identification and resolution
  • Proactive and able to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Highly motivated, organised and detail-oriented
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in English mandatory; working French (spoken and written) strongly preferred; other languages will be an asset.
