Job Summary
Cardno Emerging Markets, Belgium s.a. is currently seeking a full-time Business Analyst located in our Brussels office. Our practice unit manages EU-funded projects in various sectors, including trade and economic development, private sector development and institutional capacity building.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will be involved in both business development and project coordination. Specific responsibilities for this position include:
- Business development: conduct research on EU opportunities; identify potential consortium partners; edit project qualifications for specific tenders; conduct research to support the preparation of technical proposals; edit proposals including experts CVs.
- Project coordination: assist project managers with backstopping support as required, e.g. edit project progress reports; help with invoice preparation; assist with project administration filing.
Other Requirements
To be successful in your application, you will be expected to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant Master’s degree
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience
- General knowledge of EU development assistance programmes
- Previous working experience in the private sector preferred
- Previous experience in providing support to the management of EU-funded projects is an asset
- Excellent oral, presentation and report writing skills
- Ability to think logically and proven skills in problem identification and resolution
- Proactive and able to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Highly motivated, organised and detail-oriented
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel
- Proficiency in English mandatory; working French (spoken and written) strongly preferred; other languages will be an asset.
