Maintenance Scheduler
Located in the Laverton region, AngloGold Ashanti Australia's Sunrise Dam is one of Western Australia's premier gold mines. This open pit and underground operation employs more than 600 people and produces approximately 350,000 oz of gold per annum. Operating on an attractive 8/6 fly-in fly-out roster, Sunrise Dam boasts excellent accommodation and facilities.
We are now seeking a Maintenance Scheduler to join our Maintenance team at Sunrise Dam.
Accountable to the Maintenance Superintendent this role is responsible for creating executable schedules, based on planned approved work to be completed at the right time. The position is site based, and FIFO 8/6 from Perth.
The main tasks of the role include but are not limited to:
- Produce comprehensive daily work schedules for planned maintenance activities
- Liaise with mechanical and electrical coordinators to ensure a sound knowledge of upcoming scheduled work commitments
- Liaise with Process staff on availability of equipment for maintenance purpose and potential changes to routine operating schedules
- Work closely with Materials Coordinator to ensure availability of required resources for committed schedules
- Production of period reports (weekly and monthly) detailing planned versus actual maintenance activities and resource usage
- Actively review systems and procedures
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Exposure to project scheduling software and computer aided drafting packages would be highly regarded
- Experience with SAP computerised management system and Microsoft Project
- A high degree of literacy and superior written and verbal skills
- Sound analytical, problem solving, and implementation skills
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Trade background preferred
- FIFO and Mining industry experience
- A current WA A Class Driver's License
- The ability to work permanently in Australia
