As an Occurrence Reporting Officer you will work in the Safety Analysis and Reporting Section which collects, categorises and stores data on the aviation system, accidents, incidents and occurrences which forms the base for ensuring aviation product safety and conducting studies on the safety of European and world-wide aviation.
Your main tasks will be:
  • Managing the receipt and storage of safety-related occurrences;
  • Performing preliminary evaluation of safety-related occurrences, applying aviation taxonomy for classification and affecting relevant EASA staff concerned in each occurrence;
  • Performing analysis and trend monitoring of stored data; 
  • Developing regular reports and contributing to the development of the internal reporting system; 
  • Contributing to external and internal communication related to the reporting system; 
  • Maintaining communication and coordination with other Departments of the agency.

You should have:
  • A completed university degree or professional training in a relevant technical domain;
  • Proven work experience of at least 2 years in performing data entry and preliminary assessment in the domains of Airworthiness and/or Operations; 
  • Proven knowledge of aviation safety occurrence reporting systems; 
  • Professional experience in working with ECCAIRS software tools in using aviation taxonomy; 
  • A good command of written and spoken English.
You must be a national of a EU member state, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland.
