Position Title: Head of Sales
A. Position Information
Department: Sales
Location: Kigali, Rwanda
Reporting to: UH Managing Director
Direct Reports:
Sales team
– 1) Projects
2) Hardware Stores
B. Job Summary
The Head of Sales is responsible for increasing and sustaining UH’s revenues through the development of UH’s customer base, in-depth market understanding and appropriate pricing levels of UH’s products.
He/She will manage a sales team to sell to construction projects and hardware stores in Rwanda and Burundi.
C. Main Responsibilities
Responsibilities
• Ensure client requests for product prices through to confirmation of sale are dealt with efficiently through UH sales team and in liaison with UH Procurement, UH Logistics and UH Finance.
• Deepen market understanding for UH’s products to extend client base and decide on pricing and range for UH’s products.
• Develop client base in Rwanda and Burundi through potential client and project identification and relationship development
• Develop and refine systems, process and UH sales team to deal efficiently with client requests for product prices through to the confirmation of sales
• Create and maintain an up to date UH product catalogue and database
• Analyse UH product sales data to create management reports and identify trends
D. Minimum job requirements
Education
Bachelors Degree or above in business, management or construction
related field
Experience
• 5 – 7 years in sales and marketing and/ or related field, experience in the construction sector an advantage
• Proven ability to successfully manage a team and develop systems and processes
Specialist Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages Excel, Word, Powerpoint
• Data analysis skills
• Fluency in English, French language skills an advantage
Certification and licenses N/A
E. Physical requirements
The location of the work will be the UH Kigali office, with frequent travel to projects and potential client sites within Rwanda and Burundi.
