AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) is the world's third largest gold producer with 20 operations in 10 countries on four continents.   AGA employs over 62,000 people globally.  In Australia, AGA operates the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine and is developing the Tropicana Gold Mine in which it has a 70% interest and is manager.  Independence Group NL holds the remaining 30%.  The Sunrise Dam and Tropicana operations are both situated in WA.

Located in the Laverton region, AngloGold Ashanti Australia's Sunrise Dam is one of Western Australia's premier gold mines. This open pit and underground operation employs more than 600 people and produces approximately 350,000 oz of gold per annum. Operating on an attractive 8/6 fly-in fly-out roster, Sunrise Dam boasts excellent accommodation and facilities.

We are now seeking 2 Warehouse Officers to join our Legal, Commercial and Supply Chain team based at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. This role is a based on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth or Kalgoorlie.

Accountable to the Warehouse Coordinator, this role is responsible for general warehousing and logistics tasks including the safe and efficient handling, inspection, receipt, recording, stock taking, storage, issue, collection and distribution of materials.

The main tasks of the role include:

• Goods issues and receipting utilising SAP Supply system
• Undertake daily review of Spare Parts holdings, and update end users of availabilities
• Provide a high level of service to Warehouse and Supply customers (at service counter) and around the site and maintain a close working relationship with users
• Carry out accurate stocktaking of all inventories on a weekly basis
• Assist the preparation of warehouse items for plant shutdowns
• Safe forklift operation, loading and unloading of vehicles and reconciling against manifested items
• General housekeeping

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous experience within a supply / warehouse environment on a mine site in a fly in fly out basis
• Sound written and oral communication skills, good organisational skills and a good level of computer literacy
• A strong desire to succeed with a demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
• SAP Experience will be highly regarded as well as Microsoft Office suite- Outlook, Word and Excel
• Forklift license, WA high risk license (LF)
• Current WA drivers licence
• The ability to work Permanently in Australia
