Description:The National Network of Abortion Funds (the Network) is dedicated to increasing access to abortion for low-income women and girls across the U.S. Founded in 1993 by 24 grassroots abortion Funds, the Network now includes over 100 funds in 40 states, the District of Columbia, and internationally. The Network works to build the capacity of our member Funds to provide direct assistance to women seeking abortions and also conducts national and state-based advocacy to ensure that those most in need - low-income women, women of color, and young women - have access to abortion and full reproductive health care.

Job Opportunity:
The Network is seeking a full-time Operations and Development Associate to join our small and dedicated team in our national office (located in downtown Boston). The Operations and Development Associate provides administrative and operational support and works closely with the Development Officer for Individual Giving and the Development Officer for Institutional Giving.

Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Development Officer for Individual Giving with fundraising campaigns and newsletter mailings, maintaining the Giftworks donor database, entering donations, and processing acknowledgements
- Assisting the Operations Manager with office management and finances, including answering phones, help with mail, faxing, copying, checking bills and statements, following up with vendors, filing, responding to information requests, and updating documents
- Speaking directly with women seeking abortion funding and helping direct them toward funding resources
- Tracking clinic invoices and communicating with clinics
- Supporting the Development Officer for Institutional Giving through proofreading grants, collecting and updating key attachments, and assisting with management of deadlines chart
- Assisting with meeting logistics, including travel/catering/lodging for board meetings, and note-taking
- Assisting other program areas, including Member Support during high need times

Qualifications:
- Commitment to the mission of the Network; commitment to abortion access and full reproductive health care for all women; commitment to women's rights, social, economic, and racial justice
- Highly organized and detail oriented; must be comfortable and effective with managing data
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills - Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel - Familiarity and experience with online fundraising systems, databases, and social networking preferred - Ability to work with diverse staff, board, and member funds with sense of humor and flexibility
- Ability to work well in teams and as an intern supervisor
- Confidence with planning, problem solving, and responding to changes related to work and event coordination
- Familiarity and comfort with technology issues
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and creative
- Cultural competency and language skills other than English are a plus
