Product Engineer I
Yoh has a direct-hire opportunity for a Product Engineer I to join our client in Santa Barbara, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain statistical methods and tools for monitoring production processes
- Develop methods to test production reliability and improve process controls
- Devise, process and product enhancements to optimize the manufacturing process and improve the product
- Planning and assisting manufacturing experiments to
- Eliminate special causes of variability
- Reduce common causes of variability
- Improve process robustness
- Improving yields and reducing costs, for example investigating alternative materials or new machinery to improve efficiency, quality and yields in bottleneck areas
- Implementing process controls and devising test methods to assess the production process
- Working with product pipelines at various stages of production
- Developing specifications to ensure compliance with the finished product specifications
- Strong analytic work methodology and problem solving skills
Job Qualifications:
- Must have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or other related field
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years semiconductor processing experience in micro fabrication
- Hands-on work in the semiconductor fabrication facility will be required
- Capability to do Design of Experiment (DOE) work
- Design skills are necessary: CAD, preferably Solid Works; Ansys is optional
- Hands on experience in designing and implementing experiments to evaluate processes, analytical methods, and formulations for MEMS
- Data Analysis using JMP, Excel, or other analysis software
- Forensic engineering for failure analysis
- Experience with yield optimization based on statistical process control (SPC) and improvement
- Forward-thinking and creative with high ethical standards
- Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
- Well organized and self-directed
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate to people at all levels of an organization
