ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/PROFESSOR IN SOIL SCIENCE

The Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment is dedicated to answering crucial questions about impacts of environmental change on terrestrial ecosystems.  The Institute offers comprehensive field and laboratory based facilities and is based on the Hawkesbury campus of the University of Western Sydney at the foot of Blue Mountains, a World Heritage Site consisting of numerous national parks and conservation reserves, and close to the city of Sydney.
The Institute is seeking to appoint a high quality, energetic researcher with expertise in soil science or related area that complements our existing strengths in soil biology, an international reputation for excellence in research and evidence of successful leadership in a research-focussed environment.  Extensive experience and success in obtaining substantial research funding from a range of sources including industry is essential. The appointee is expected to provide leadership in scholarship through innovative and distinguished research, and in policy development and the development of staff.  The successful applicant will draw upon leadership experience in building research teams to obtain substantial funding to support a robust research program. Appointment level will be determined on applicants qualifications and experience.
Remuneration Package: Level D $125,382 p.a. to $137,819 p.a. plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading or Level E $160,629 p.a. to $166,257 p.a. plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading
