Do you have an interest in a future career in Philanthropy or non-profits? Come get real-world applicable experience working for the Philanthropy Department, the engine of any non-profit. As a small, close-knit team you will get exposure to all our departments, and learn the ins and outs of how different departments in a non-profit function harmoniously.
Duties:
Major Donor Mailings
- Assist in the production and completion of major donor mailings
- Production and completion of solicitation and acknowledgement material
- Edit various documents, such as acknowledgement, survey and other copy
Major Gifts Support
- Administrative support for the Major Gifts Office Staff
- Create donor profiling system
- Perform comprehensive prospect research, inclusive of both private individuals and community foundations
Database Support
- Work with Database Administrator to ensure hygienic data
- Complete matching gift forms for AWF donors
- Ensure all supporting documentation and acknowledgement scans are present in the Raiser’s Edge Media tab
- Create “Scope of Work” process documents for various database projects throughout internship
- Edit AWF Database Policies and Procedures
Requirements:
- At least a 3 month commitment
- Strong research and computer skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Creative, analytical thinker
- Innovative problem solver
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge is a plus, but not required
