Programmes Finance Manager

Programmes Finance Manager £34,344 - £38,856 per annum (plus contributory pension) Manchester City Centre
MAG works to tackle the destructive legacy of violence and conflict, to release land for development, and to build a better future for women, men and children alike. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a Nobel Peace Prize winning organisation.
Reporting to the Head of Programmes Finance you will be responsible, with one other post-holder, for managing members of the HQ based programmes finance team on a day-to-day basis, providing advice and support to our programme managers in HQ and to our Country Directors in the field and providing technical oversight to programme based Finance Managers.
This is a varied, challenging and at times global role. The nature of MAG's business means you could find yourself in Cambodia or Lebanon, supporting the programme to develop financial systems and practices, before returning to HQ to manage your team and support proposal development or provide advice on financial contract management.
The successful candidate will have previously worked in a finance role for an international NGO or donor-funded organisation, have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and have staff management experience. You will need to be able to demonstrate a strong background in financial modelling and contract management, ideally with experience of major donors like USAID, EC and DFID. You will be committed to producing work of a consistently high standard and will have experience of undertaking reviews of business processes.
With a proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team, prioritising its work and ensuring effective communication between various stakeholders, you will be creative, flexible, solution-focused, professional and committed to MAG's goals.
Please note that applicants who are non-residents of the UK will need to provide documentary evidence of their eligibility to work in the UK. Interviews will take place in Manchester.
