Description:The Senior NOC Technician is responsible for maintaining the CFPB communications system by installing, operating, and maintaining voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment for a federal government agency. The project supports multiple mission-critical application systems and their associated IT infrastructure. The scope of work includes systems and database administration, 12 x 5 operational monitoring and support, and information security support.

Responsibilities:
- Tier II/III support of mission critical systems - Maintains full ownership of ticket through its lifecycle - Provides first call resolution or triage for all calls.
- Utilize the knowledge base and other support documentation to identify, isolate, diagnose and resolve end users technical problems and provide information and status as requested.
- Enter all troubleshooting performed and, if applicable, the resolution
- Oversees the IT Help Desk, providing a high-level of customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and continuous improvement
- Ensures help desk meets agreed upon quality levels - Manages the organizations' computer use policies to ensure compliance - Troubleshoot user problems
- Ensures a timely process through which problems are controlled. Includes problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps
- Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution - Interacts with network services, software systems engineering, and/or application development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem - Recommends system modifications to reduce user problems

Qualifications:
- Experience utilizing Remedy
- Experience with Netcool, Solarwinds, and SharePoint preferable
- 6 years or more of professional experience supporting PC hardware and software systems - Outstanding communication skills to include verbal and written - Working technical knowledge of industry standard operating systems in a NOC environment - Customer centric personality - Goal oriented - Associates Degree or CCNA certification required - Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware - Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience - Must be clearable for a Public Trust Clearance
