Chief, Office of Institutional Integrity
The successful candidate will report directly to the President of the Bank and to the Audit Committee of the Bank’s Board of Executive Directors. S/he will lead the IDB Group’s Office of Institutional Integrity (OII), which is responsible for investigating external matters of fraud and corruption and other violations of the Bank’s standards of institutional integrity in IDB Group-financed projects across the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region, as well as prevention, detection and investigation of prohibited practices.
The Chief must cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with IDB Group governance functions.
We seek an experienced Executive (approx. 12 years professional exp.) with a proven record of working with key anti-corruption agents in government or civil society and/or managing and delivering best practice investigative and preventive services in/for governments or large, complex organizations. Must have the ability to manage complex investigations and make critical recommendations and decisions based on factual, systematic analysis and solid business reasoning.
Must also be able to manage and motivate a small, but highly effective team, and provide it with leadership on highly sensitive matters. Written and verbal English and Spanish proficiency is required. Candidates should have a relevant advanced degree (Juris Doctor, MBA, MPA, Master’s degree or Licenciatura in related field). Desirable to possess a background in public and private sectors.
