The WTO is looking for temporary Documents Production Operators in the English Unit of the Text Processing Section in the Languages, Documentation and Information Management Division. | ||
General Functions Under the supervision of the Unit Coordinator, the incumbent will have the following accountabilities: Processing of documents using personal computers including: formatting, copy typing, transcribing from digital recordings, preparation of basic tables and graphics, and finalization (incorporating translator's and reviser's and other corrections into text). Regrouping parts of large documents prepared separately into a consolidated whole document. | ||
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS | ||
Education: Completion of secondary school and/or secretarial or equivalent commercial school. | ||
Knowledge and skills: Excellent knowledge of grammar and spelling in English. Document production/formatting and familiar with transcription of audio recordings. Good knowledge of the Microsoft WORD programme. Ability to perform recurring tasks based on highly standardized and rigorous norms and practices to process documents. Ability to undertake a high volume of work within short deadlines and under pressure. Open to learn and receive training in the evolving document production process. | ||
Work Experience: At least two years' relevant experience in the occupational area in order to be familiar with the processing of correspondence and documents. | ||
Languages: Excellent speaking, writing and reading skills in English and some knowledge of French or Spanish. | ||
