Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oracle DBA who has at least 6+ year experience of Oracle 10g and 11g RAC on Unix and Windows Operating System
Strong shell scripting experience

Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree
6+ years in implementing database solutions.
Create shell scripts for task automation
Excellent skill in Database Performance Tuning
Excellent skill in Issue Troubleshooting, working with Oracle Support
Excellent Knowledge of restore and recover corrupted databases
Install and test database/applications upgrades and patches
Evaluate and recommend new database technologies
Deep understanding of different database systems and capabilities in general.
Install and configure Oracle software on UNIX and Windows operating system.
Create and configure new Oracle databases as required using DBCA and manual creation.
Reorganizing and restructuring of existing databases to meet OFA standards and for optimizing performance.
Installation and configuration of Oracle Grid Control, which is used to centrally manage and administer all databases on various hosts.
Maintain Oracle Dataguard Physical standby databases for disaster recovery. Ensure that standby database is always in sync with production database by checking archivelogs sequences.
Performing Dataguard swithover as required for maintenance. This includes coordinating with application owners and sys admins to when the switchover can be performed.
Perform backup and recovery using RMAN and Flash Recovery Area.
Cloning of production databases as needed for testing, development using RMAN and Grid Control.
Creating tablespaces and planning the location of data, index and rollback tablespaces redo log files and control files in adherence to the Optimal Flexible Architecture.
Perform data migration using Export/Import and Datapump.
Managing database security by creating and assigning appropriate roles and privileges to users depending on the user activity.

Deloitte Consulting LLP EXPECTED DELIVERABLES:
Oracle High Availability Architecture (HA) involving Oracle RAC and Dataguard.
Backup and recovery.
Monitoring and Performance tuning.
Data and database integrity and security.
Disaster Recovery and Standby setup experience

Deloitte Consulting LLP Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Aptitude for trouble-shooting and problem-solving
Collaboration with team members

Job Location:
-Must be willing to work out of job site in Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Security Clearance:
