APPOINTMENTS TO THE SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY FACILITIES COUNCIL 2013

The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) is a world –leading, multi-disciplinary science organisation, whose goal is to deliver economic, societal, scientific and international benefits to the UK and its people- and more broadly to the world. The Appointments Panels for the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) are seeking applications from individuals with high level experience of  the industrial, business and financial sectors to fill two vacancies on their governing Council for part-time fixed term membership beginning in Autumn 2013.
THE CLOSING DATE FOR THE RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS IS 24 July 2013
The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills will appoint members to the Council on merit after considering advice from the Appointments Panel. The Secretary of State is committed to the principle of public appointment with independent assessments, openness and transparency of process and to providing equal opportunities for all, irrespective of race, age, disability, gender, marital status, religion, sexual orientation, transgender and working patterns.
An honorarium of £6,850 is paid annually.
