Trainee in Project Management - Xplanation Language Services | Belgium

Headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, Xplanation Language Services NV is a global provider of translation solutions across key industry sectors. Xplanation is a growing organization providing expert advice to customers from its offices across Europe, Asia and the United States.
We are currently looking for a trainee in project management in our headquarters in Belgium for a minimum period of 6 months. The traineeship will start 1 September 2013.
Your profile:
  •  You are a student
  •  Your university/university college is willing to sign a traineeship agreement
  •  You have excellent communication skills, in speaking and writing (excellent level of English and French)
  •  Foreign language/s an asset
  •  You study languages/translation/communication
  •  You have an affinity with IT; basic knowledge of project management tools is a plus
  •  You have high social skills and are service-oriented (experience of contact with clients is an asset)
  •  You can work independently as well as in a team
  •  You are motivated, eager to learn, cope well with stress and tight deadlines, and are comfortable working in a multilingual environment
  •  You are solution-oriented
Your tasks:
  •  You analyse the incoming translation requests and create a quote if requested
  •  You allocate the projects to the best translation and DTP partners and follow them up
  •  You provide extensive client support and occasionally attend client meetings
  •  You plan customised solutions for specific projects
  •  You ensure the communication flow between clients, translation partners, revisers and DTP partners
  •  You work closely together with our branches
Our offer:
We offer a varied traineeship in our Project Management Team for technical and medical translations, located in Belgium. Our trainees (for a full-time traineeship) receive 300 EUR/month for accommodation during the first 3 months. If trainees do not receive a grant, we offer them 500 EUR/month for the remaining period of the traineeship following a positive evaluation.
